To Project Manager:- Regarding Project…(E1 Batch)

sir,
Our project is on Beagle Board xM with ARM CORTEX A8 processor, we have to put our own linux OS on this Board and run the functionality of the Billing machine on this Board.

In this project we will first put that OS image (which has already been developed by emblogic) for the testing purpose by three ways:-
!. through SD card
2.through NFS server
3.through TFTP

Then we will start to create our own OS.

Current TasK:- To Bring up the Beagle Board by creating two partitions on it.
1. the first partition is for boot loader (stage1 and stage2).
2. the second partition is for the root file system.

    Hi Gurpreet and team
If your project is related to Billing project, Start by defining features you would require in the Billing machine.

    hi Team

Please elaborate on statement Panda board supports high level OS.
Does it mean Beagle board doesn’t support Ethernet,Wireless, Bluetooth

you may to define why did Emblogic create their own OS

In your current task it seems as if Partition is mandatory to bring up Beagle Board.
I would like to meet you team at 3pm today. Please come prepared with your project definition.

    Greeting of the Day Sir,

    Features Required in Billing Machine:

    1. Printer
    2. Small Screen
    3. GSM
    4. Keypad
    5. Power
    6. ARM processor
    7. Memory
    .
    .
    .
and sir, Partition is mandatory on SD card (or any other external memory interface) to bring up the board as there is no memory available on the board itself. The SD card is going to work as an hard disk for our Board.

    Thanking you

    Beagle Board Team
