i m facing problem in this program from starting…………how the negiate operator work…………also in left & right shift operator…………

on my lappi i have linux as well as windows 7 installed..weneva i am try to get into linux it is not working properly….it is going till the desktop but it shows nothing on the desktop..so cn anyone help me with that……:(
