Introduction

Hello and welcome to Level 2: Advanced Shell Scripting with Bash. This advanced course is made for trainees who have already grasped the fundamentals and aims to turn them into true system automation specialists. Moving away from the standard loop and conditional statements, we will explore production-level scripting problems. Students will become proficient in working with `sed`, `awk`, and regular expressions to process text efficiently. In addition, the course covers error handling techniques, interactions with APIs by using `curl` and `jq`, managing background processes and remote execution by using SSH. At the completion of this course, trainees will be able to develop command-line applications.
