VoIP / IP Telephony. A 6 weeks program

A Project based Training Program

Internet telephony refers to communications services-voice, fax, SMS, and/or voice-messaging applications-that are transported over an IP network, rather than the public switched telephone network (PSTN). The steps involved in originating a VoIP telephone call are signaling and media channel setup, digitization of the analog voice signal, encoding, packetization, and transmission as Internet Protocol (IP) packets over a packet-switched network.

The next-generation network (NGN) is body of key architectural changes in telecommunication core and access networks. The general idea behind the NGN is that one network transports all information and services (voice, data, and all sorts of media such as video) by encapsulating these into packets, similar to those used on the Internet. NGNs are commonly built around the Internet Protocol, and therefore the term all IP is also sometimes used to describe the transformation toward NGN. As IMS is base for 4G and hence has longer future which is actually a technology which has lot future prospects. As GPON/EPON will be cheaper the day is not far when IMS will be part of every communication, precisely backbone of Telecommunication.

Salient Features of Training Program
