Linux System Programming and Data Management

Introduction:

This Linux System Programming  Training Module introduces one to Linux bases files and directory maintenance, program options and arguments, temporary files and user information, terminals, creating shared libraries, screens and curses, file locking and regions, data management using Linux etc.

Salient Features of Training Program

Objective:

  • This training program is designed to ensure that students of Engineering College with academic capabilities and working professionals will have the skill set needed to deal with the challenges involved in real-world system programming and data management to meet the needs of industries both today and in the future.
  • This career oriented program aims at preparing the trainee such that he/she should be able to program systems and design databases.
  • This course is taught mainly using Linux, systems based on x86 processors and a PC emulated as an programming device.
 

Pre-requisite:

  • An Engineering Degree (completed or persuing(third/final year)) in the stream of: Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Instrumentation or Master of Application (MCA).
  • A prior knowledge of a basic computer operations, good general aptitude.
  Agenda:
The Duration of Training should be:  
  • 15 working days
  • There would be (approx) 15 Classroom Sessions of 1 Hours each.
  • There would be (approx) 15 Lab Sessions of 1 Hours each.

Training Methodology

  • Hands on approach to training, behaviorial model of training would be practiced.
  • During the training, the Trainee whould learn and implement Linux/system programming and database management.
  • Comitment to Individual growth and constant evaluation.
